“Good afternoon Pango Foundation,
I hope all is well! As you know my name is Stephon Graves and I’m entering junior year at University of Washington Tacoma Campus. I’m currently studying Politics, Philosophy, and Economics: International Studies with a minor in Human Rights. As a former recipient of this scholarship I’m grateful to have a second opportunity for funding this upcoming school year. This past summer I completed a 10 week internship at Tacoma Public Utilities as their facilities security Intern. In addition, I continue working on other projects such as the Hilltop Action Coalition’s 2021 summer Crawl as the event photographer. To reflect on this experience grateful for the many opportunities and can’t wait to this upcoming academic year.”
“Hi! I am Elisia Sanchez! I am currently a junior attending at University of Washington Tacoma. I am studying for my Bachelors of Social Welfare. My hopes for my degree after I graduate is to go for my Masters of Social Work. However, my goal in general is to be able to help my community as much as I can. As a woman of color, I have often been put down by society and have had my voice silenced. So I want to be able to work with underrepresented groups to help them have their voice heard, because they deserve to be heard and listened to. I want to be able to show people that they matter and that there is someone rooting for them. So in all, I want to be able to do outreach and provide my assistance to those in need. Everyone deserves a shot at life and I want to be a part of that journey. “

“Hello
My name is Ernest Balezi, and I am a current student at University of Washington Seattle campus. I am very grateful and blessed for the opportunity to continue moving forward in my studies with financial support from individuals who have a compassionate heart. As a byproduct of the support I have received, I have been able to focus on academics and extracurricular activities and do my best to thrive in them. I love sports such as Basketball and Soccer, as they are a great avenue for me to relax and focus on taking care of myself in a healthy way. Regarding my academic plan, I am currently a premed student with the intention of pursuing a career as a Doctor or Physician Assistant. I am currently majoring with a B.S. in Public Health Global Health with a minor in Bioethics. I am also currently doing research for Malaria Vaccine at Seattle Children's Center for Disease Control. All these experiences have enabled me to grow as an individual and have taught me valuable lessons that I intend to carry with me. Most importantly, I am a Christian thus I thank God for blessing me with people who are constantly looking out for me.

Hello, my name is Ethan Quiñones, and I am about to enter my senior year of college at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. I am a History and Race & Ethnic Studies double major, with two concentrations in Educational Studies and Latin American Studies. I've been teetering back and forth on what exactly I want to do after college, but I expect to end up in community grassroots/non-profit work or becoming a teacher as a career! I enjoy listening to hip hop and R&B music, going on walks and watching our Seattle sports teams!”
